A huge thank you to Jamaican born dancehall superstar and music producer Sean Paul, for coming in to meet the staff and students at Wayne's Cup on Wednesday 22 February.
Sean Paul even gave us a signed copy of his latest single!
Sean Paul’s distinct voice, catchy rhythms and first-class productions have been the perfect blend for the success of this Grammy Award-winning Jamaican international superstar.
To date Sean Paul has released eight studio albums including; Dutty Rock, 2002; which he won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album, The Trinity, 2005; which was certified platinum in Europe and by the Recording Industry Association of America. He also went on to release Imperial Blaze, 2009; Tomahawk Technique, 2012, and most recently Full Frequency in 2014 which were all well received.
Sean Paul’s hard work and dedication over the years has earned him several Grammy and Billboard Music Award nominations and his accomplishments include an American Music Award, MOBO Awards, Soul Train Awards, MTV Music Awards, ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Music Awards, a Source Award as well as a BET Award.
In last night’s 2017 BRIT Awards in London, Sean Paul was nominated in the Best Single category with Clean Bandit and Anne-Marie for Rockabye and twice in the Best British Video category for Rockabye as well as with Little Mix for Hair.
Aside from being a top-notch performer, Sean Paul is an excellent music producer and has created music with a number of top Jamaican artists.
When not in the studio or on stage, Sean Paul likes to keep active with a game of tennis. He also enjoys intellectual conversations, drinking herbal tea and watching or participating in sports like basketball and swimming.
